«Under the winter’s wing», Poturaiko L, papier-mâché, tempera, Kholui, 2019

One of the brightest and most famous representatives of the Kholui school is Larisa Poturaiko. The themes of her works are various plots of fairy tales, folklore and fantastic scenes. “Under the wing of the winter” is an amazingly delicate and graceful work of the author. The box is painted with egg tempera using one hair brush and covered with natural lacquer.

Larisa Poturaiko was born in 1969 in the Krasnoyarsk Region. She graduated from the Kholui Art School and participated in various exhibitions since 1999. Her works are kept in frequent collections in Russia and abroad.
