Original seven pieces Matryoshka doll with the depiction of Russian landscapes and life of peasants. The subject of the first one is Russian troika. It is a traditional harness driving combination, using three horses abreast, pulling a sleigh. This image is very symbolic for Russian art.

The doll was made of linden wood which keeps its shape for a long time. The design was made by very thin brushes, with the use of tempera and acrylic paint.

The doll was created in the well-known handicraft studio “Philipp”, based in Saint-Petersburg. Recognizable style and old tradition of manufacturing – are distinguishing features of the studio.
