Designed original Matryoshka of ten pieces, handmade and hand painted by the artists. It represents a well-known Russian pattern “Khohloma” with red and golden objects on the black background.

Each detail is carefully hand painted with acrylic and tempera paint, with the use of gold leaf and shiny lacquer. For manufacturing the doll, artists used linden wood, known for its high quality and durability.

The doll was created in the art studio owned by Valentina Smorodkina. This place is known for its talented artists, who used to work in Palekh and became professionals in miniature painting. Amazing work with details and very tiny painting – is always a result of their art.
