Matryoshka doll “Fairy tales”

Original handmade Matryoshka doll set, created in bright and shiny colors. Each doll has a depiction of the most popular in Russia fairy tales. The first one features a well-known fairy tale “Fire-bird”. The bird can be found in many Russian fairy tales, as a magical symbol of light and sun.

Another fairy tale that can be found in the set is “Scarlet flower”, adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. A merchant’s daughter requests a scarlet flower when he returns from his travels, but the merchant picks a flower whose owner, a terrible beast, demands a price.

“The tale of Tsar Saltan” is a fairy-tale by the most famous Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. The story tells us about Prince who meets Princess Swan. She helps him to become the most powerful man in the world.

Another one is the tale of the Fisherman and the Fish by Alexander Pushkin, a story of over-reaching greed and ambition.

The doll is made of high-quality linden wood, which is traditionally used for such type of crafts. Matryoshka is painted with tempera and acrylic paint and covered with several layers of lacquer, for better protection.
