Matryoshka doll “Fairy tales”

Exquisite shiny Matryoshka doll set of five pieces, all hand painted and decorated with crystals. Each doll depicts one of the most popular in Russia fairy tales. The first one features “Princess Frog” fairy tale. It happened that Ivan Tsarevich had to marry a frog, but it turned out into a beautiful Princess who was under the spell.

Another one is the tale of the Fisherman and the Fish by Alexander Pushkin, a world famous Russian poet. It is a story of over-reaching greed and ambition.

The smallest one has a depiction of a flower from the Russian fairy tale “Scarlet flower”, written by Aksakov, an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. The doll is made of high-quality linden wood, which is traditionally used for such type of crafts. Matryoshka is painted with tempera and acrylic paint and covered with several layers of lacquer, for better protection.
