A copy of one of the famous Carl Faberge eggs, made for the Russian imperial family. The egg was created in 1906 by order of Nicholas II, as an Easter gift for the mother of the emperor Maria Feodorovna.
The golden egg is covered with matte lilac enamel, the favorite color of Empress Maria Feodorovna, and decorated with an ornament in the form of a trellis lattice made of wavy ribbons adorned with rose-cut diamonds.
The egg presented in our gallery is made of brass, cold enamel and rhinestones. The authors of the egg supplemented the idea with a musical mechanism, which plays the famous music of Tchaikovsky “Swan Lake”.
