Original three pieces Matryoshka doll with the depiction of Russian landscapes and life of peasants. The subject of the first one is Russian troika. It is a traditional harness driving combination, using three horses abreast, pulling a sleigh. This image is very symbolic for Russian art.

The doll was made of linden wood which keeps its shape for a long time. The design was made by very thin brushes, using tempera and acrylic paint.

The doll was created in the art studio owned by Valentina Smorodkina. This place is known for its talented artists, who used to work in Palekh and became professionals in miniature painting. Amazing work with details and very tiny painting – is always a result of their art.
