Artistic ten pieces Matryoshka doll with the depiction of Russian landscapes and life of peasants.  The subject of the first and biggest one is Russian troika. It is a traditional harness driving combination, using three horses abreast, pulling a sleigh. This image is very symbolic for Russian art.

The doll was made of linden wood which keeps its shape for a long time. The design is made by very thin brushes, with the use of tempera and acrylic paint.

The art work was made in the handicraft studio “Philipp”, based in St Petersburg. Their artists created their own recognizable style, keeping the old tradition of manufacturing at the same time.
