Bright detailed Matryoshka doll of seven pieces. Russia is an Orthodox country that is why the theme of Christmas can be often found in different kind of art works.

Linden wood was used as the material for the doll, as well as tempera paint. Several layers of lacquer make it shiny and protects from scratches.

The doll was created in the well-known handicraft studio “Philipp”, based in Saint-Petersburg. Recognizable style and old tradition of manufacturing – are distinguishing features of the studio.
